Elephant Turtle (Creature Concept)

This short project was an exercise in trying to design a fictional animal species based on a specific prompt. The prompt in this case was "Elephant Turtle". I wanted the concept to feel as much like a real animal as possible so I stuck very closely to the source material I was referencing (large turtle species) whilst exaggerating certain traits in order to fit the prompt. The goal of this project was to get a better understanding of animal anatomy and how to repurpose it for creature design.
